How to edit your Instagram posts?

I know that Instagram still has a lot of limitations. Like being unable to change the pictures after you post them. Right now the only way to do so is to delete the image completely. And it doesn’t make sense to delete a photo with 1000 likes just to change it!

But there is a way to change the caption of your post that you can get advantage from it.maybe you misspelled something, or you changed your mind about putting emojis on your caption or…! Then what should you do?

Don’t worry; there is a way to edit your Instagram post. Some things about a post you shared can be edited after you published the post and those are, location, tagged people, caption and hashtags, and that’s all!

How to edit your Instagram post after posting?

Step1: Open your Instagram app, go to your profile, the part that you can see your entire posts.

Step 2: Click on the image that you want to change its caption and head over to the setting buttons that looks like three round buttons (some call this options or setting button).

Step 3: Clicking on it will give you several options such as:

• Archive
• Turn Off Commenting
• Edit
• share
• Delete

Step 4: Now, all you need to do is to click on the Edit button. Once it’s done, you will automatically able to update the post (content and hashtag).

You can also edit the tags you had done previously by pressing the black button on the bottom left of the image.

When should you edit your Instagram photos?

• The content is not reflecting what you have in mind. This is a great time to edit your Instagram post.
• Adding more content to the post.
• Adding hashtags and tagging your friends in the post.

Note! Editing your post can decrease your engagement rate especially if you are public.
