What we promise about the work: how it is sourced, how it is checked, where the machines stop, and what happens when we are wrong.
These are the rules the publication actually runs on, not a statement of intent. Where a rule describes an automated step, that step exists in the pipeline and fails the article when it fails.

Numbers, prices, versions, dates and availability claims come from a research pack assembled before the article is written, and every item in that pack carries a resolvable URL. A claim with no source is dropped from the pack rather than flagged, because a single unsourced figure quietly contaminates everything downstream of it.
If a sentence needs a number we do not have, the sentence is rewritten so it does not need one. We do not estimate, and we do not recall from memory.

Before anything publishes, each checkable claim in the draft is extracted and verified individually against the research pack. A claim the pack contradicts fails the article outright. An unsourced claim that carries a number, price, version or date also fails it.
Softer claims that the pack does not cover are not silently allowed through — they are attached to the draft as notes for the person reviewing it.

Every draft is compared against the pages currently ranking for the same question, read in full rather than skimmed from snippets. To publish, it has to contain something concrete those pages do not: a figure, a tested result, a correction, a development that postdates them.
"Better written" is not something. If we cannot name the addition, the draft does not run — and that check fails closed, so if the comparison cannot be made at all, the draft waits.

Research, drafting, checking and internal diagnostics are AI-assisted. The models find candidate stories, assemble sourced research, draft sections against an outline, and run the checks described above.
What AI does not do is decide to publish. Every article is approved by a person before it goes live, and the checks are designed to fail closed — a check that cannot run is a check that did not pass.
Articles bylined Ehsan A.N are written by a person. Other bylines are editorial desks: a consistent name and voice for work produced and checked by the team. Each writer page states which it is, in plain words, at the top.

When an article is wrong, we correct it and say so on the page: what changed, and when. Substantive corrections are noted permanently rather than folded into a silent edit.
Editions are append-only here, which means the previous version of any page still exists and a change can always be shown. If you have found an error, [email protected] reaches us fastest.

No coverage is paid for, and no product is reviewed in exchange for access. Where a link earns a commission, it is disclosed on the page that carries it — not in a footer.
When we write about a company we have any relationship with, that relationship is stated in the article.

Pages that no longer serve a reader are retired rather than left to sit. A page that answers a question about a feature that no longer exists is not harmless: it competes with our own better pages and wastes the attention of anyone who lands on it.
Retired pages redirect where a genuine successor exists, and return a clear "gone" otherwise. We do not redirect everything to the homepage to preserve a statistic.
