Having a dedicated highlight section means you can showcase all of your products at once, and their prices, so that your followers can quickly understand what they could purchase from you. You know, they have got to make their lists and check it twice!
#2 Change your hashtags
It’s easy to get caught in a hashtag rut, so here are a few hashtags to add to your regular sets for the holiday season.
Also, there are a lot of different communities out there, so you should get into them by using community hashtags in your Christmas posts. Such as:
#3 Ask your audience to choose their favorite
Everybody knows that asking questions is an excellent way to increase engagement. this time of the year, you can take your strategy a step further by asking your followers, “which one?” Put two similarly themed products next to each other in one picture and ask your followers to choose which one they prefer for this season. A roasted turkey or a fried one? The red dress or the green dress?
You can use platforms or applications like “layout” to make it easy to compile two or more photos into a single picture that you can publish. When you compare two products, you promote yours and also generates a lot of engagement for your Instagram account.
#4 Run a seasonal fan content campaign
Fan content provides two different benefits for your business. It boosts engagement while building loyalty and rapport. Also, you can get quality content for no cost to your brand, aside from the time and effort it took to find the content.
Starbucks does a great job with Instagram marketing. They have generated lots of engagement by sharing user-generated content (UGC). With their annual #redcupcontest, Starbucks asks people to share pictures of how they celebrate the return of the holiday cups by using the hashtag #redcupcontest. The award for the winners is a Starbucks gift card, and the contest produces a ton of great content every year.
Encourage your Instagram followers to create and publish holiday-themed content using your branded hashtags. Consider offering some kind of prizes, whether you are running an official contest or not. The award can be a giveaway, gift card or the opportunity to have their content featured to your brand.
Remember to ask users to use your campaign branded-hashtag so you will be able to find the content, as Starbucks did with #redcupcontest.
