In this post, we will discuss why sometimes we have an iMessage not saying delivered on our phone, and what are ways to fix the error “imessage not delivered” with different solutions.

Why iMessage not saying delivered?

We are absolutely sure about one thing; the etiology of all iMessage delivering failures is not the same. In order to decide which method is better to solve the problem, we need to take a closer look at the problem itself.

In a situation you might send a message but not see any kind of “delivered” label appears under the message bubble; in the other situation, you may receive a red warning with the text “iMessage not delivered” on your phone. Always remember that most of the complicated issues can have a simple reason; for instance, the reason why your iPhone or iPad contributes to a not delivered iMessage is that your device is on Airplane mode, the recipient’s phone is turned off, or your connection is poor.

How to fix iMessage not delivered?

Are you tired of the iMessage not saying delivered on your device? Here, we have collected five possible solutions to fix the error “imessage not delivered” as follows;

  • Check your connection

As mentioned before, poor connection can lead to iMessage not delivered. As you know, iMessage needs access to the internet, either via WiFi or a cellular signal, so if you have no service, there is a network issue. Check your WiFi or cell signal and make sure the connection is good enough.

  • Try sending it again or as a text message

If your iMessage has not been delivered yet, why not try to resend it? To do that, click on the exclamation mark and then choose the “Try Again” option from the pop-up menu. If you still have a problem, it is better to see if it is specific to iMessages. To prove this hypothesis, click on the “Send as Text Message” option.

Note that your phone will try to send the message as an SMS message, and whether that works or not, remember that this message will be sent using your phone’s texting plan, and in the future, you may need to pay a fee for that.

  • Enable iMessage if it is disabled

Remember that iMessage uses a blue message bubble as the notification. If you send one or more messages on your device and they just appear in green bubbles, this means that the messages were sent using SMS instead. There are several reasons for this thing; one of them is that you are sending a message to a non-Apple device since Apple only supports iMessage.

The second reason is that iMessage is turned off on your phone or the recipient’s device. To see if it is disabled or not, start the “Settings” app and click on “Messages,” and finally ensure iMessage is on by swiping the button to the right side.

  • Restart your iPhone or iPad

Although too simple to talk about, it can be effective in most situations. Generally, some glitches that make the iMessage app stop can be resolved by restarting the device, so we recommend this method for all iOS users if they have this issue.

  • Make sure iMessage is activated

In some cases, you may notice a message while trying to send an iMessage that says “Waiting for Activation.” If you see this message on the screen when trying to send an iMessage, it means you got your iPhone less than a day ago, and all of the device’s services are not yet fully activated.

In this case, it is better to wait until the activation is completely finished. However, if your iPhone ages more than one day, make sure you have the latest update of software and contact your carrier to see if there is a problem with your messaging setup.

Why Does Outlook PST File Corruption Take Place?

Microsoft Outlook is available in the market as an integral part of the much-in-demand Microsoft Office suite. Microsoft Outlook is a software system for managing personal information. According to Wikipedia, it is predominantly an email client, but Outlook performs critical functions like task managing, calendaring, note-taking, contact managing, web browsing, and journal logging. We know that Outlook is a powerful calendaring and messaging software system dominating the market for a desktop email client with millions of loyal users across the globe. However, it has a critical flaw associated with Outlook data files, like PST file corruption.

Most of the Outlook issues encountered by the users are because of some problems associated with the PST file storing a copy of all mailbox items like contacts, emails, attachments, notes, tasks, calendar items, etc. in your local drive. When this PST data file in Outlook is corrupted or damaged, it may trigger Outlook errors, and users may be prevented from having access to their accounts or getting new emails. PST corruption ultimately may result in data loss. Let us explore the different reasons leading to PST file corruption.

What Causes Outlook PST File Corruption?

Usually, Outlook corruption is triggered by software and hardware-related issues. We will discuss the reasons so that you can understand what causes Outlook PST File corruption and take proactive measures to prevent it.

Oversize or Huge PST File Size

In previous Outlook versions like Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2003, the recommended limit for an ANSI PST file size was 20GB. Once the PST file reaches this recommended limit or exceeds it, Outlook performance is bound to go down. As such, users experience a delay while accessing their mail or receiving or sending emails. All these issues seem to be the early warnings of your PST file issue. Due to oversizing, inconsistencies occur, causing errors and leading to PST file corruption.

Valuable Suggestion: For preventing PST file corruption due to oversizing, you may consider using the Archive option present in Outlook. That way, you can clean all spam folders and deleted items regularly.

Hardware or Software Issues

Outlook or Windows may crash because of hardware failure, conflicts with software, or operating system issues. If Outlook crashes while in operation, it may corrupt the PST file and cause critical data loss. In cases where the Outlook crash resulted from a grave problem, you fail to reboot your system and even lose your mail items forever.

Valuable Suggestion: Consider using a system that boasts a decent hardware configuration and is capable of keeping your system optimized thanks to updated software. Do not consider installing a beta version of the OS.

Abrupt Shutdowns

An abrupt shutdown is similar to a system crash because of power failure or a force shut down because a system freeze can lead to serious issues if Outlook is running. The PST file may encounter irreparable damage causing significant data loss.

Valuable Suggestion: Abrupt shutdowns are triggered by power failure. For avoiding such situations, it is best to consider using a UPS or uninterrupted power supply. If you are using a laptop, remember to monitor battery health and if your battery seems faulty, always keep your charger connected. For adequate backup, you may get your battery replaced if it is defective.

Force Close Outlook

The outlook may stop responding or freeze if the system hardware is incapable or if some issues arise while retrieving mail items. You may get tempted to force shut the Outlook at once utilizing the Task Manager. You may then restart hoping to resume from where you had left. However, force shutting Outlook may lead to PST file corruption.

Valuable Suggestion: Your Outlook froze as it could not finish a task like, processing or updating your PST file, and had got stuck while responding to all your commands. In such a case, it is a good idea to wait it out until Outlook starts responding. In case, it still fails to respond, you may force shut and then restart. The moral of the story is that you should always remember to wait and see if the program responds on its own before you decide to force shutting Outlook to avoid undesirable PST file corruption.

Faulty or Mismatched Add-Ins

Faulty or mismatched add-ins may trigger a series of Outlook issues like errors in receiving and sending emails. Other consequences could be retarding Outlook performance, delayed search results, and PST file corruption or damage.

Valuable Suggestion: Remember never to install add-ins from unreliable or unknown sources. Always rely on Microsoft Store for installing any add-ins or other Office applications.

Conclusion

PST file corruption in Outlook is a terrible thing to happen and may cause critical data loss, particularly in the absence of a backup. Various software and hardware associated reasons among others may trigger PST file issues and corruption. Now that you know the reasons for PST file corruption, follow the suggestions discussed above to steer clear of undesirable issues.

You can use different tricks to solve the “We’ll try again once there’s a better connection” error on Instagram. For example, you can try trimming the video, removing tagged accounts, switching the codec to h.265, selecting the auto-populated hashtags instead of typing them out, or checking your internet speed before posting.

Here, I will explain all the solutions to fix the error and get your carousel to upload on Instagram.

  • Trim the video

If you want to post the carousel on the app, trim your video.

You can trim the video by selecting the photos/videos you want to upload on the carousel. Then tap next, and click on your video. Next, choose “Trim” and cut a tiny bit of the video.

As you might hear, Instagram prevents uploading “non-native” videos. So, if you edit the video in the app, you can upload it successfully.

  • Remove tagged accounts

The next solution you can try to prevent any trouble is to remove tagged accounts. If you see this error while posting multiple photos, remove tagged accounts before posting. To do so, go to “Tag people” and choose the “x” icon to clear all tagged accounts before posting. While it works well to post photos, you can try it when you want to post videos.

  • Switch the codec to H.265

Another solution is to switch the codec to H.265 from H.264 and successfully upload your video. If you have video editing software, use that, and if you do not have it, make a google search for “H.265 converter” and find a free tool.

As the Instagram video format is H.265, you have to change your video from H.264 to H.265. So find a free converter and upload your video to convert. Then try to upload the video on Instagram and see if it works.

  • Use auto-populated hashtags

Some users spell the whole hashtag worlds, then tap on the space bar, and try the next one. But this way might cause uploading issues. If you want to add hashtags to your post, try auto-populated (given) hashtags on your caption

  • Check your internet speed.

The last simple trick is to check your internet speed and see if it solves your problem.

Sometimes this error is because your internet speed is too slow. So you can not upload a video on Instagram, especially large-size videos.

The best way to test internet speed is to use free tools like Ookla. Generally, your download/upload internet speeds should be more than 100 Mbps. If it is less than 20 Mbps, you can never upload your video because it’s way too slow.

One way to increase your speed is to change your internet from WiFi to local data, and vice-versa.

Quick Fix to Instagram Live not Working

Since its birth in 2016, the real-time Instagram live feature has become so popular that it is almost impossible to imagine Instagram without it. Live streaming is now one of the must have’s and must be watched features that no Instagram user wishes to miss. However, there have been times when users experienced frustration using live stories and complained about the problems they faced.

As the Instagram live is a real-time and immediate feature, missing it can be of great pain, especially if your best friend is holding a Live on a special event of her life and you cannot join her, all because of some pesky bugs. But don’t worry! We have some quick solutions to help you fix Instagram problems. First, let’s see what challenges you might face when using live stories.

Why can’t I go live on Instagram

Recently many Instagram users report that they can’t go live on Instagram. The reason why you face problems using Instagram live is due to Instagram features, bugs, or phone bugs.

To join to an Instagram live video you should have two-person feature in your Instagram account.

As you see in the picture the username of each viewer is listed to choose from. If the viewer is able to join (they have the two-person feature rolled out to their Instagram account), their account name will be listed beneath their username. If you cannot use the two-person video, instead of their account name, it will read “Unable to join.”

Common issue you face while going live are:

  1. Unable to join
  2. You might be unable to see your friends’ Live streaming, or you see it with delay.
  3. You fail when going live.
  4. Your live video cannot be displayed for your friends.
  5. The live feature on your Instagram disappears altogether.

These are the most common issues you might face using Instagram live, but some people are also experiencing other problems. Here we want to fix them.

Fix Instagram live not working

There are a few tips to get the problem fixed. They include:

  1. Restart your application. Close the Instagram app and restart it again. Most of the times, this sets a lot of problems. But if restarting your application didn’t work, then see the next solution.
  2. Restart your phone. At more severe times, a phone refreshing will do. This will allow a new start to your Phone’s operating system, and most bugs are fixed this way. Plus, powering off your device ensures that the Instagram app has been closed completely. Again not working? Go to the next line.
  3. Log into your account on another device, If restarting your app nor your phone helped. If your account is working on another device correctly, the case is most likely that your phone is the main problem. In such a situation, you must repair the telephone through the original company’s agency or a phone hardware specialist.
  4. See if any update has been released for your device. Head to the App Store (for iOS) or Play Store (for Android) and look for the Instagram application if there are any updates to the app, download and install them. The new update may fix the bug.
  5. Uninstall Instagram from your phone and re-install it again, If none of the above solutions worked.
  6. Contact Instagram. If this final solution didn’t work, then your last resort is to contact Instagram and ask them to help you.

How to contact Instagram?

There are two ways to contact Instagram:

  1. Go to Instagram help center and look for the problem you are facing using Instagram live. Most of the times, similar problems have happened to other users, so Instagram has created a page to explain how to fix that problem. Enter the keyword “Instagram live” in the search box and see what solutions are provided for you by Instagram.
  2. On the application tap “Settings,” then “Help” and finally “Report a problem.” A window appears, and you should select the last option “Report a problem.” Next page is where you can name your problem and leave upload screenshot if necessary. Finally, tap “submit.”

There are times when Instagram is facing some issues on the server-side. So if Instagram live is not working look for news and updates on google to see if they have announced any question regarding that. If this is the case, then you have no other choice to wait until they announce the problem fixed.
